Starting in Sesimbra we’ll collect used EPS fish boxes and convert them into new raw material that will be used in new products. Circular thinking as it should be, in Portugal and all over the world.

During the 40 years we have been in business, we have kept challenging and transforming what we do to be able to deliver the best and most efficient solutions to our customers. Now we are proud to release a new vision for BEWI that better reflect who we are, what we do and more importantly, why we do what we do: Protecting people and goods for a better everyday. For us, our vision means taking responsibility and adapting our business to tomorrow’s expectations. To reflect our vision, we are launching our updated brand and visual identity, and a new website. We also change our name back to BEWI. We grow as a company, while our new brand reflects our will to always stay young at heart, relevant and optimistic about the future. We are still BEWI; the same company, the same people and we are heading in the same direction as we have done: Leading the change for a circular economy. Now we are taking the next step of our journey, and we are looking forward to doing it with you.

Efter att återvinningsstationen VIVAB, i Varberg framgångsrikt haft insamling sedan förra året är det nu dags för invånarna i Falkenberg att få samma möjlighet. Sedan ett par veckor tillbaka finns nu en dedikerad plats med ett säckställ där allmänheten kan sortera använd frigolit. Ställningen är placerad precis intill containern för brännbart avfall, där materialet oftast hamnat tidigare. Frigolit är 100% återvinningsbart och en värdefull resurs, därför är det viktigt att källsortera rätt. Nu kommer vi att återvinna det insamlade materialet - det är hållbart och rätt för miljön. In Varberg, the recycling station VIVAB has successfully had collection of EPS since last year. Now it's time for the residents of Falkenberg to get the same opportunity. Since a couple of weeks, there is now a dedicated place where the citizens can sort used EPS. The collection point is located right next to the container for insinuation waste, where the material ended up earlier. EPS is 100% recyclable and a valuable resource, so it's essential to sort the material correctly. Now, we will recycle the collected material – it's sustainable and good for the environment. Collection of EPS in Portuguese fishing ports. ♻ Collection of EPS in Portuguese fishing ports. ♻️ In collaboration with Doca Pesca, we have launched a project that aims to collect EPS fish boxes from almost all fishing ports across Portugal. The small town Sesimbra on the south coast is one of the first ports to join this collaboration. We are applying different types of solutions depending on the quantities that each harbor generates. In Sesimbra, we have installed retention cages, so that fish boxes can be deposited in one accessible place, allowing for easier collection while preventing any waste from ending up in the sea. "This kind of cages is one of the best solutions to fix the problem of collecting fish boxes in the harbors - To avoid that they go into the sea or garbage bin. I think we have found the best possible solution here", says Pedro M. Luis, Managing Director of BEWiSynbra Circular in Portugal.
